Coach Ben Stehura hails from south of the border in Ohio USA.  Ben started wrestling at the age of 5 and was an Ohio State place winner.  He was recruited to wrestle in University and attended Lock Haven University in Pennsylvania on a wrestling scholarship where he competed across the USA in folk style, free style and greco roman wrestling.  After graduation, Ben became a university head wrestling coach first for Limestone University, a NCAA Division II university and then moved on to Cleveland State University, a NCAA Division I University.  During his over 20 years of coaching, Ben also founded multiple youth wrestling programs and a regional training center which allowed him to coach wrestlers both nationally and internationally.  As a career coach, Ben holds international certification in coaching, non-violent conflict resolution and athletic performance and development.  He is a USA wrestling Gold Certified coach and has written chapters for the USA Wrestling bronze and silver certification books.  Before moving to the Comox Valley in 2022, Ben became a high school administrator at West Geauga High School in Ohio (Athletic Director) and coached that school's wrestling program.  Ben became the SD71 consortium wrestling team's coach in 2022 and discovered that there are many younger kids in the Valley who want to wrestle, so he decided to start Team Rhino, to give them more opportunities.
